About Dr. Lauren Sword
Dr. Lauren Sword was born and raised on the North Shore of Oahu. She attended Chaminade University of Honolulu and subsequently received her doctorate from Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed OB/GYN residency at Loma Linda University Hospital in Southern California. Her residency was high volume and acuity, preparing her well to return to Hawaii and provide high quality care to her patients.
Dr. Sword is no stranger to our practice; she started shadowing in our practice when she was in high school and college. She knew she wanted to become a physician from a young age and her experiences at Hawaii Women's Healthcare solidified this passion. Dr. Sword approaches patient care with a whole person approach, prioritizing care of mind, body, and spirit. She places importance on educating her patients in regards to their health and wants her patients to feel that they are a team when discussing care options.
In her spare time, Dr. Sword loves to surf and spend time with her family. Her professional interests include health disparities in women's health, preventative medicine, and osteopathic manipulative medicine for pregnant patients.
